Singer, songwriter, entertainer, Irene Lambrou has performed all kinds of music in all kinds of musical situations. She has fronted wedding bands, jazz groups and bar bands; she can sing folk, country, blues, rock, pop and sacred music, in English, Greek, Spanish, and Italian. Until 2004, she was the voice and face of Medea, an original folk-rock band that gained critical acclaim for their live performances and studio recordings, "Dreams & Revelations" (1999) and "The Miracle Line" (2003). The Philadelphia Daily News described her as a "throaty, dramatic thrush" and The Philadelphia Inquirer declared her voice a "burnished alto." In 2005, she had the honor of traveling across the globe to entertain members of the U.S. Navy and Air Force on Diego Garcia with Philly-based O'Fenders. Now Irene returns with a new band to explore the wide variety of music she performs best. The result is elegant, romantic and sexy—Cocktail Lounge with an Edge.
